Update: The New York Post reports that Hughes is expected to receive more playing time on Friday.
Recommendation: Head coach Mike D’Antoni said he thought Hughes played well in his 11-point effort off the bench Wednesday against Washington. “So we’ll stick with him and hopefully he keeps playing well, because he does give us a defensive edge that in January we probably missed,” D’Antoni said. Whatever motives the Knicks have, at least it’s good to know that Hughes will be assured of being on the floor in the near future.
