Spurs PF Richard Jefferson(notes) was added during the offseason with the hope that he’d add some punch to the offense. But Jefferson admits that his play has been lacking as the the Spurs try to keep pace with the Mavericks in the Southwest.

"I particularly haven’t been playing as well as I would like," Jefferson told the San Antonio Express-News. "Everyone kind of has to look in the mirror and try to step it up."

Jefferson is averaging 12.8 points per game; his career average is 17.4.
